Duoi sao me ke contains two main parts. The first one has 14 short stories which Phan Thi Ho Diep creates to tell her son before going to bed. They are about Cat and Rabbits, her son’s very close friends; about important events relating to her son such as his birthday, his saying-goodbye day to his friends; about her son’s favourite characters. She said: “I always remember the moment when I and my son lie and tell each other stories. We are really exciting and happy. My son’s childhood seems to be one star in the sky. It is sparkling and familiar. But when he becomes more mature, I am not able to reach the star any more. Maybe he merely stores these images in his own mind.” She also suggests interesting questions which a mother can ask her children. And the second one embodies how to raise her son effectively which parents can learn.
The book is combined text with infographics, thus attracts readers a lot. It is considered as a spiritual bridge between a mother and her children.
