[ThaiHaBooks] Tet painting is an indispensable beauty in the cultural and spiritual life of Vietnamese people in every spring. Vietnamese folk paintings in general and Tet paintings in particular, can be considered as an encyclopedia about Vietnamese life, from universal concepts to liberal ideas, upholding human values.
“TET PAINTINGS - VIETNAMESE TRADITIONAL QUINTESSENCE” was first published in 2016 together with the Creative together with kids to explore Tet paintings projects. It has been enjoyed by young readers to their parents because its messages are brief and clear. In the reprint edition of 2018, in addition to providing general knowledge about the types of paintings, this book has been revised and updated new research results to bring a better understanding of Vietnamese folk paintings.
In addition to analysis, the paintings also are updated a more complete and diverse. Folk paintings from China, Korea and Taiwan are also introduced in the most general way in order to provide a broad perspective to all readers.
To increase the data and awareness about Vietnamese folk paintings, in 2020 edition, we have continually revised and updated new knowledge based on published parts. Also, this version adds a very important folk painting in the South, that is the Southern Glass Painting art.
